Organisation Development

Campus BridgeThe Organisation Development team exists to enhance the effectiveness of the University. Our purpose is to develop the University's capability to become quicker, more flexible and more responsive to the challenges of delivering it's aims and objectives, in line with the Future Directions strategy.

At an individual level, we aim to ensure that all staff are able to deliver sustainable results in a changing environment.

Key Strategic Deliverables
  • Lead the implementation of the Achieving Success initiative including planning; communications, training support and evaluation, to establish and embed a performance improvement ethos within the University (see Portal for full details)
  • Support the implementation of the Staff Wellbeing Survey 2009, and utilise the results to inform our Learning and Development delivery plan 2009-2012
  • Lead HR & OD process reviews within a continuous programme of institution led process review
  • Provide an induction programme for every new member of staff, reinforcing Stirling as a caring, attractive and supportive employer of choice
  • Support and deliver legal and regulatory learning and development for all staff, including Equality and Diversity and Information Management
  • Define, design and deliver a Leadership Development Suite for University staff
  • Define, design and deliver skills training and development for University staff without current management/leadership roles

How Do We Work?
  • Benchmark good practice both within and outside the HE sector
  • Build partnerships with all Learning & Development providers within the University to ensure our service and products are consistent in their accessibilty, look and feel, and to optimise skills within this community of developers
  • Engage with staff to seek input and encourage feedback from users on all of all services and products
  • Make the best of technology and infrastructure to deliver effective learning and development interventions
  • Constantly review and develop our own skills as individuals and as a team
